The works of the Dalmatian American Club of San Pedro are well known throughout the local community and state.  Organized in 1926 in order to encourage, promote and cultivate good fellowship, a good neighbor policy, unity and the true spirit of brotherly love, higher social standards, American patriotism and better citizenship, goodwill and esteem toward all friendly nations, among its members and the public at large, to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members, to generally endeavor to support socially, economically and culturally all that is just and lawful for the benefit of its members, the community, state and country, to promote the mutual benefit of its members and not the gain or profit of any one member and to promote activities which are social, ethnic Croatian, civic, chairtable and non-political in nature and finally to provide and maintain a home for social activities and a meeting place for its members.
